Introduction
This research is inspired from the new Social Distancing habit called New Normal, as an impact from Covid-19 Pandemic. According to the New Normal rule, the minimal distance between students’ bench are 1,5 meter. Due to this rule, the seating arrangement in the class must be changed, because the seating arrangement in the class was originally close together, it was common for two students to sit in one seat next to each other. Therefore, we are interested in researching the most effective classroom seating arrangement using geoboard by making class miniatures with scales, and using ergonomics and geometric theory.
Research Methodology
Problem Formulation
Tarakanita Gading Serpong Junior High School has classrooms with the size of 9 × 9 meters. To find the most effective seating arrangement we used the Geoboard props which are specifically scaled to the class size. We will examine the placement of tables and chairs by calculating mathematically the most efficient distances and areas of space to support learning comfort in the classroom.

Ergonomics
Ergonomics is the science that explores the relationship between humans and their surroundings and uses principles, methods and data in designing systems to suit human needs, shortcomings and skills. Everything according to ergonomic provides comfort and convenience for humans. To create a comfortable classroom, we pay attention to the distance between seats, the space for each student, as well as the distance between the teacher and the student and the student to the blackboard / screen.
Mathematical theory in use
Scale
Scale is the ratio between the distance in the image and the actual distance. In this case we compare the distance on the Geoboard board with the distance in the actual class.
Phytagoras Theorem
The Pythagorean Theorem states that for any right triangle with sides a and b and a hypotenuse c applies

To measure the area of a shape, we use the formula for the area of a rectangle and a triangle.

Research Design
This research uses descriptive quantitative method. Geoboard, whose scale is adjusted to the classroom, is arranged in a seating plan for Tarakanita Gading Serpong Junior High School students by paying attention to the New Normal rules and ergonomic rules. The seat plan of the students was analyzed mathematically by the distance between the seats and the area of the student's space for movement while still paying attention to the safety of the students in facing the New Normal. The data we obtain will be displayed in the form of images and descriptions
Result and Analysis
Conclusion
From research on the use of geoboards in the preparation of ergonomic seating plans for students to face the New Normal at Tarakanita Gading Serpong Junior High School, we hope to find the most effective seating plans so that Tarakanita Middle School students can learn comfortably in teaching and learning activities and students can continue to develop themselves. maximally as before the New Normal.
